8th Grade Video Photo Request

Hello fellow 8th grade families! I truly can not believe how fast this year is flying by and soon we will all be together celebrating our sweet Class of 2022! :) I have volunteered to work on the 8th grade video and have a couple of favors to ask each of you.

First of all, if you happen to have any great group photos from class parties, school plays, field trips, musicals, recreational sports teams (when they were younger), middle school sports, brownies or cubs, etc. I would love to have them. I can not promise that I will be able to use all of them but would love to have them as an option to put in the video. I will also be going through all of the Harding archive photos to find some photos of our kiddos throughout their years at Harding to put in the video.

If you would like to submit some group photos, then please send me an email at misty.white@me.com and I will send you instructions on how to upload them.

My second request is for families whose child did not start Harding in Kindergarten. I would love to have your child’s Kindergarten yearbook photo if you have access to it for the video. It could even be a photo of that picture in the yearbook. If you don’t have a yearbook photo of your child from Kindergarten, then no worries. You can send me another photo from their Kindergarten year or I will use the Kindergarten photo you already submitted for the video. Please send the additional Kindergarten photo to misty.white@me.com and title the photo as “LastName_FirstName”, example: White_Maddie.jpg to help me from mixing up photos.

If you have not already submitted your photos for the video, I would ask that you please do so in the next couples of weeks. As reminder, those photos will go to Ruthie Lowney at lowneyr@hardingacademy.us and here are the instructions for those submissions. . . .

8th Grade Video Photo Submission Information:

The 8th Grade Video is a photographic timeline that will remind us all of the friendships and growth that our children have experienced since Kindergarten. The video has become one of the most anticipated components of the Harding Academy experience, with special viewing parties for parents and students. Also, we will share a link to the video after the students and parents have seen it so each family may have a copy of it. To ensure each student is represented equally in the video, we need each family to submit 12 photos of your child by January 14. We cannot produce this video without your help! Thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this!

Guidelines:

1. Cull through your photos from the past 9 years.

2. Choose a max of 12 photos to submit to the committee. We're looking for group and individual photos but request at least half of these be individual shots.

3. Please represent a range of years and activities. You may include things like sports (Harding & non-Harding), dance, Scouts, band/theater, summer camp, other

extracurricular activities. Please, no family photos. We’re looking for just your child, or your child with other Harding classmates.

4. If your child has not been at Harding since Kindergarten, please submit photos that are representative of your child's earlier years (K-8 only; we’re not looking for baby/toddler photos). We want to ensure each 8th grader is represented equally, regardless of how long he/she has been at Harding.

5. Title your photos as follows: THIS IS SUPER IMPORTANT:

Title your photos as follows: grade_LastName_FirstName.jpg

1st_Smith_John.jpg;

if submitting more than one photo in same year then add A/B/C/etc:

1stA_Smith_John.jpg, 1stB_Smith_John.jpg
