Statement of Inclusivity

Harding Academy believes that children learn from one another and that such learning is enhanced when it includes peers with diverse backgrounds and experiences.  Our school community is committed to cultivating a culture that helps us attract and sustain diversity within our student body and faculty. By encouraging children to appreciate each other’s differences (in race, culture, religion, gender, family structure, and socio-economic levels), the Harding Academy faculty, staff, and leadership team prepare them to become citizens of the global community and the complex, multicultural world in which they live.
PreK–8 are the most formative years, providing your child’s academic and moral foundation. Harding Academy’s model provides crucial stability with a keen focus on the academic, social, and developmental needs of students ages four to fourteen.
Welcome to Harding Academy! We are excited that you are considering Harding for your family and we are looking forward to partnering with you on this journey!

Your school choice for your elementary or middle school child may be the most significant educational decision you make. The PreK through eighth grade years are the most formative years for a child academically, socially, and emotionally. These years provide the foundation for a love of learning and foster a sense of wonder and curiosity that will serve them well into their adult life. Harding Academy’s model provides crucial stability with a keen focus on academic rigor, social, emotional and developmental needs all within a nurturing, safe, and inclusive community.

At Harding, we view education as a partnership; we accept not only individual children, but their families as well. Once a child enrolls, we partner with the family until he or she graduates in eighth grade. With our intentional smaller class sizes, your child will be seen, heard, and known. Whether your child is on stage for her grade level play, or on the soccer field with his team, your child will have the opportunity to explore his/her interests through a variety of ways.

Our Admission process is designed to get to know each applicant and family beyond simply what is produced on paper. We are committed to helping prospective parents familiarize themselves with every aspect of Harding Academy so that they can determine the best match for their child and their family. Thank you for considering our school. We are so excited to get to know you and your child!
