I think you’ll find that this is a remarkable place. Each day, we devote every ounce of our care, creativity, and energy to carving out spaces where children between the ages of four and fourteen can become exactly who they were made to be: thoughtful, creative, lifelong learners and self-disciplined, responsible, caring citizens.
We’re committed to a PreK-8 model because we believe it’s important for younger students to have their own place to grow and develop and lead, free from the distractions or influences of a high school environment, where students require very different approaches and resources.
By the time our students graduate, they are not only prepared for the academic rigor of the most challenging independent high schools in the nation, they are ready to be innovators and leaders in those communities.
To this end, we seek to maintain a constant balance between challenge and nurture.
At the core of our balanced approach is our faculty, who show our students what it means to be lifelong learners. As caring citizens themselves, they model for our students the core values that Harding holds so dear.
When students are well-known and well cared for, they have the self-assurance to rise to challenges they may never have expected to meet. Whether trying out for a play, entering a drawing competition, or going out for the chess or soccer teams, our students discover aspects of themselves they never knew were there.
I encourage you to explore our website and learn more about Harding Academy. After that, please come and visit our campus and see our mission at work.
Sincerely,
David Skeen
