Welcome, and thank you for your interest in Harding Academy. We are eager to get to know you, your child/children, and your family.
As you will find, Harding Academy is a warm, welcoming community focused on each child's learning, growth, and personal development. We are committed to the Pre-K through eighth-grade experience as an expression of our conviction that children thrive in an environment intentionally designed to meet the developmental needs of children between the ages of four and fourteen. We do not want to accelerate the precious years of childhood unduly; instead, we want to guide, inspire, challenge, and support children through adolescence and in doing so, prepare them personally, socially, and academically for the dynamics and decisions of high school.
The relationships formed during a child’s years at Harding Academy sustain them through their childhood and adolescence, and last a lifetime. As an expression of the inclusive community that Harding Academy is, bonds are formed not only between students but between families as well. These relationships transcend generations and are the essence of the Harding community.
A child’s journey through their Harding years is expansive; in addition to laying a strong academic foundation, they discover their interests, passions, and talents in the arts and athletics through an array of curricular and extracurricular activities. Students study, play, compete, explore, create, and travel together. In doing so, they emerge as confident, poised, multi-talented individuals ready to contribute to their community. As you will learn, see, and experience, the reputation of the Harding Academy alumni is exceptional.
Harding Academy is a mission-driven school, “To educate and inspire young people to become thoughtful, creative, lifelong learners and self-disciplined, responsible, caring citizens.” The values expressed in this statement align with the aspirations parents have for their children. We welcome, embrace, and celebrate this partnership, knowing it is exactly what the children need.
We look forward to your continued interest in Harding and extend our invitation for you to visit. We want to get to know you, and are eager for you to get to know us.
