Sad News

Dear Harding Community,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that Tristan Numbers, brother to Adrienne Numbers ('25) and Naomi Numbers ('19), passed away yesterday after a battle with brain cancer. Services will be held on Monday, August 19th, at 4:00 at Congregation Micah. The family writes:

 

“Tristan’s funeral will be held at Congregation Micah (2001 Old Hickory Blvd) on Monday, August 19 at 4pm. It will be followed by a short graveside service at the cemetery right behind the sanctuary. Please everyone who can, please come. Come on time, come late, come halfway through, come at the very end, but please come. We will probably be gone by 6pm so anytime between 4pm-6pm is an open window. 

 

I’d like to ask everyone who ever met or heard of Tristan, to do something for me: write down your favorite memory or two of Tristan, in a short paragraph, and please bring it with you written on a piece of paper. We will call on people at random in the service to share their memories, and afterwards, we will collect all the documents and put them together in a book for me and his siblings. The Book of Tristan, to remember what a huge impact he had on all those who knew him in all different facets of his life. If you cannot make the service, please still write down your top memory or two and email it to me, titled “Tristan Numbers”, at “nataliechantal16@gmail.com”. Thank you all. We hope everyone who ever met him, however briefly, will do this.”
