Generals End Tough Stretch With a Loss to Ensworth

Corby Lucas
The Harding Generals varsity football team playing in its third game in seven days was unable to hold up to the balanced rushing and passing attack of the Ensworth Tigers. The Generals fell behind early and were never able to recover, falling 44-6.

Sam Frank '19 stepped in admirably for injured starting quarterback Ryan Schmadtke and led the Generals on a touchdown drive in the second quarter that ended with an Andrew Romito touchdown run. Unfortunately for the Generals, that was the first and only score of the game. The offense was unable to sustain drives consistently and turned the ball over several times.

Harding looks to get back to full strength next week for the annual Spirit Game. The Generals will end the season with two consecutive home games on Thursday, Sept. 21 at 4:30pm and Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 5:30pm. Go Generals!
