Harding Wrestlers Lose Tight Match to BGA

The Harding varsity wrestling team fell to 3-1 in a closely contested match with Battle Ground Academy, 44-36. The Generals jumped out to a 24-6 lead on the strength of 4 pins by Garrett Schultz '15, Seve Ortale '15, Zachary Nelson '15 and Scottie Koehner '15. The Generals were then forced to forfeit three weight classes pulling the Wildcats even. Daniel McGuire '16 and Cooper Craig '16 earned victories for Harding setting the score at 38-36 heading into the final match of the evening. It wasn't quite enough, though, as BGA showed it's strength by pulling out the victory.

The Generals will wrestle their first out of conference match on Thursday, November 6 against Lipscomb Academy at 4:30pm.
