Varsity Girls Basketball Tallies Tenth Win
With temperatures in the teens outside, the Varsity Girls Basketball team turned up the heat inside with a 50-17 win over South Haven Christian School.
Scoring 20 points in the first six minutes of play, the Generals cruised to their tenth win of the season. The defense gave up 0 and 2 points, respectively, in the second and third quarters, and the offense erupted again with 19 points in the third quarter alone. On the strength of numerous steals and rebounds at both ends, Zara Bracegirdle led all scorers with 20 points. Abby Andrews scored 15 points in just three quarters of play, Maggie Cannata added 7 points, MiMi Bond scored 4, and Ellie Faber and Ellie Slagle each chipped in 2 to round out the scoring.
