The girls soccer team met adversity head-on, playing with courage and unity. Their effort, resilience, and teamwork continue to build the foundation for future success.
This week brought two challenging matches for our team, but also tremendous growth and resilience. Despite the tough scores (0–7 and 0–6), the girls showed heart, grit, and a commitment to improvement that defines what it means to be a team.
In the first game, we saw a major step forward in the second half — tighter passing, stronger communication, and better defensive shape. By the second game, those adjustments really started to show. The players supported each other, worked hard in every position, and demonstrated real courage by trying new roles and responsibilities for the good of the team.
A special shoutout goes to center back Raegan Reynolds, who has been an anchor on the back line and a model of consistency and leadership, playing nearly 60 minutes in every game this season. Her composure and work rate set the tone for our defense each game. We also saw excellent minutes from Jane Heavrin, Riley Reynolds, and Jagger Davies, whose energy and focus showed the growing depth and strength of our squad. Each of them stepped up when called upon and made a real impact on the field.
While the scoreboard didn’t reflect their effort, their attitude and perseverance did. They never stopped playing for each other, and their teamwork and determination are laying the foundation for future success. Each challenge is making us stronger, and this week’s experience will only fuel us for next week’s matches.
We’re proud of the growth, proud of the fight, and excited for what’s ahead. 💪⚽
