The Harding Hawks took to the road for the first time on Thursday, Sept. 11 traveling to Grace Christian Academy in Leiper's Fork for an HVAC conference game. The Hawks were only down 8-0 at the half, but GCA pulled away in the second half and ended up winning the the game, 24-8.
Jayden Binkley '26 (Valor) was able to score a 4th quarter touchdown on a short run from the 1 yard line and Riley Husbands '26 took a QB sweep in for the 2 point conversion to account for the Hawks only score. Colston Laws '26 (Valor) had several big kickoff returns that set up the Hawks offense in decent field position.
Harding will have the 4th seed in the HVAC playoffs and as a result will travel to play top seed JP II in Hendersonville next. The date and time of the game are TBD.
