Harding Wrestling Wins One, Loses One In Final Week of the Season
The Harding Academy Wrestling team finished 1-1 in the final two matches of the regular season. Last Thursday, the Hawks welcomed the Brentwood Academy Eagles into Roberts Gymnasium. Connor Gunnels '27 got the match started off well for the Hawks with a win. Ben Lucas '25 kept his unbeaten streak alive with a pin and Elliott Mangano '26 also recorded a pin for Harding. Winning exhibition matches for the Hawks were Benjamin Reavis '28, and Finn Castle '25. Castle continued his dominance with another pin to stay undefeated.
This past Tuesday, Harding had it's final home meet against Nashville Christian and came out on top, 42-24. In matches contested, Harding wrestlers scoring victories were Griffin Hassan '26 and James Held '26. Ben Lucas '25 won an exhibition match as well.
The Hawks will now set their sights on the season-ending HVAC Tournament to be held on Saturday, November 23 at Brentwood Academy Middle School. Wrestling begins at 9:00am. Go Hawks!!
