JV Baseball Scores Early then Hangs on for First Win
The JV baseball team got off to a fast start scoring 7 runs in the first inning then held off a Westend Middle School rally for its first win of the year.
Starting pitcher Parker Wainwright '18 lead the way for the Generals with three solid innings on the mound and had a key double in the second inning. Archer Heeren '17 had two hits and scored twice, and Billy Jones '18 had an RBI single and picked up the save.
The game ended after a two hour time limit when third baseman Hudson Powell '18 ran down the tying run at second base.
