The Varsity Girls Basketball team suffered their first loss of the season to St. Henry School 29-21 on Thursday.
After nearly a month-long layoff, the girls jumped out to an 8-4 lead at the end of the first quarter. From that point forward, an athletic, tenacious and well-coached St. Henry squad took it to the Generals, finishing the game on a 25-13 run. Faced with foul trouble and injuries, the Generals got quality minutes from Cece Bayliff, Elizabeth Perrone and Ellie Slagle off the bench. Despite battling flu-like symptoms for the two previous days, Lowery Nickels led the Generals with 9 points, and Zara Bracegirdle chipped in 4 points.
