Generals Go Toe To Toe With BA

The Harding Academy wrestlers had their final dual meet of the year on Thursday, November 15 when they traveled to Brentwood to take on Brentwood Academy. Will Glover '21, Hudson Frazier '21 and Eli Heaney '19 all tallied 6 team points to get the Generals off to a blazing start and an 18-0 lead. Glover and Heaney both recorded pins for Harding. After giving up a forfeit and two pins, Nathaniel Nelson '19 got the Generals back on track with a pin to take his season record to 7-0 on the season. Harding retook the lead 24-18 halfway through the meet. Matthew Wenkoff '21 and Mark Ryan Henderson '19 both recorded pins as well giving the Generals a 36-30 lead heading into the final 3 weight classes. Unfortunately, Harding did not have wrestlers at the 190 and HWT classes, and the forfeit victories gave BA the 48-36 win. In actual matches wrestled and not including forfeits, the dual meet was tied 30-30. The wrestlers will conclude their season on Saturday, Nov. 17 with the HVAC Tournament at Brentwood Academy. The double elimination tournament will begin at 9:00am and take place in the BA Middle School gym. Competition will last throughout the day concluding at some point in the mid-afternoon. Go Generals!!
