Generals Go 1-1 For the Week
The Harding Academy wrestlers defeated FRA by a score of 57-18 on Tuesday, Oct. 23 in Roberts Gymnasium. The wrestlers were once again 10-2 in matches wrestled, which means they won 20 out of ther first 24 matches of the season. Varsity winners were Will Glover '21, Hudson Frazier '21, Eli Heaney '19, Michael Datillo '21, Conor Corby '19, Nathaniel Nelson '19, Matthew Wenkoff '21, Grant Gilmour '19, Mark Ryan Henderson '19, and Chase Franck '19. RJ Perkins '22, Walker Lindsey '19, Will Glover '21, Matthew Wenkoff '21 and Chase Franck '19 all won exhibition matches.
On Thursday, Oct. 25 the Generals traveled to take on MBA. MBA had a full lineup and was able to gain 18 team points via forfeit victories. In the matches contested, MBA beat Harding 42-24. Winners in the varsity match for Harding were Nathaniel Nelson '19, Huston Thrasher '19, Mark Ryan Henderson '19, and Chase Franck '19. Nelson and Franck were able to stay undefeated for the season. RJ Perkins '22 and Max Lisnyanski also won exhibition matches for Harding by pinning their opponents.
Harding is back in action next Thursday, Nov. 1 when it travels to Franklin to take on BGA at 4:30pm. Go Generals!!
