THE AKIVA SCHOOL SIXTH GRADE ANNUAL MATH CONTEST
On Monday, May 9, six sixth graders represented Harding Academy at the Akiva School Math Contest. Those participating were: Adam Wang, William Gu, Asher Maxwell, Billy Jones, Cate Frist, and Maria Carter. There were seven area schools attending with 42 students. The contest consisted of an individual test, a small group test, and a trivia contest.
Harding made a clean sweep of the entire contest. Adam took individual first place honors while the team of Adam, William, and Asher placed first in the small group division. Adam was on a team of two non-Harding students, and his team placed first in the trivia contest. The students enjoyed a Kosher meal of spaghetti, salad, bread, and cookies. Everyone had a great time.
