Statement of Inclusivity

Because Harding Academy believes that children learn from one another and that such learning may be enhanced by diverse experiences, opinions, and cultures, the school is committed to maintaining a student body and faculty that represent the diverse groups that make up the Nashville community. By encouraging children to appreciate each other’s differences—in race, culture, religion, gender, family structure, and socio-economic levels—the Harding Academy faculty prepares them to become citizens of the global community and the complex, multi-cultural world in which they live.
PreK–8 are the most formative years, providing your child’s academic and moral foundation. Harding Academy’s model provides crucial stability with a keen focus on the academic, social, and developmental needs of students ages four to fourteen.
Your school choice for your elementary or middle school child may be the most significant educational decision you make. PreK-8 are the most formative years, providing your child’s academic and moral foundation. At Harding, we view education as a partnership; we accept not only individual children, but their families as well. Once a child enrolls, we partner with the family until he or she graduates in eighth grade and beyond, after the student has become an alumnus.

Our admission process is designed to get to know each applicant and family beyond simply what is produced on paper. Conversely, we are committed to helping prospective parents familiarize themselves with every aspect of Harding Academy so that they can determine the best match for their child and their family as they consider the next educational step in their lives.
