Harding Puts Up a Fight Against Reigning Champ Woodland
Yesterday's competition versus reigning league champion Woodland Middle school was a well-fought battle, ending in a 13 - 10 loss. With more than 17 shots on goal, Harding put up a strong fight, clawing our way back from a four-point deficit at the half. 8th grader Georgie Haynes scored four goals, 8th grader Cece Bayliff scored three, and the remainder were scored by Anna Askew (8th), Ellie Slagle (7th) and Anna Perrone (8th). On Defense, Elizabeth Perrone (8th) made three remarkable recoveries that led to Harding scores, and Annie Griffin (7th) made a marked impact, playing for the entire game without a single foul. The Generals play leading team, Harpeth Hall (5-0) for the second time this season on Monday April 6th at the highway 70 fields. Varsity plays at 4:00 p.m., JV at 5:15. Come cheer us on to victory!
