Varsity Girls Basketball team Advances to Conference Finals
The Varsity Girls Basketball team advanced to the GNAC tournament championship with a 36-7 win in the semi-finals over Hendersonville Christian Academy.
The Generals' defense shut out the No. 4 Seed in the first half and yielded only a single free-throw in the third to take a 31-1 lead after three quarters. The girls converted a plethora of steals and offensive rebounds into easy buckets. Abby Andrews led the way with a game-high 12 points, Lowery Nickels scored 10 points, and Maggie Cannata and Elizabeth Perrone added 4 points apiece to round out the scoring. The Generals will take on the No. 2 Seed Mt. Juliet Christian Academy in the championship game today at 4:45 p.m.
