Generals Defeat David Lipscomb, Fall to Mt. Juliet
The Harding varsity wrestling team split a tri-meet on Tuesday, November 15 defeating David Lipscomb 57-12 and falling to Mt. Juliet 54-24. The Generals continue to improve in their preparation for this weekend's HVAC tournament at Battle Ground Academy. Winning matches in the first match against a very tough Mt. Juliet squad were Seve Ortale, Franklin McKenzie, Connor Downey and Sam Wheeler.
In the second match of the evening, the Generals came out on fire scoring 6 pins a row! Those wrestlers who got Harding off to the quick start were Seve Ortale, Franklin McKenzie, Riley McCormick, A.J. Beard, Will Beasley and Connor Mulloy. Other winners in the Lipscomb match were David Wise, Clarke Allen and Sam Wheeler.
The season concludes this week with matches against Brentwood Academy and Brentwood Middle on Thursday, Nov. 17 and the HVAC Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 19.
