Varsity Girls Basketball Has 2 Tough Loses to Start the Season

The varsity girls basketball team played two games this week at the Roberts Gymnasium to start the season. The Hawks lost to Nashville Catholic 35-24. Jamie Gaddie Embry led the team in scoring with 6 points. In the second game, the Hawks battled conference foe JPII. The final score was 29-18 in favor of the Knights. Jamie Gaddie Embry and Kate Fulgham led the team in scoring with 6 points each. Grace Thigpen had 6 rebounds and Jamie Gaddie Embry had 7 rebounds. The girls will play their third game this week when they travel to Poplar Grove today for a 4:30 game. Go Hawks!
