Varsity Boys Soccer Wins Season Opener 2-0
Our team put on a fantastic performance in last night's opening game, controlling the flow from start to finish. We created several scoring opportunities and executed both offensively and defensively. Smith Morris opened the scoring with an impressive individual effort, dribbling through multiple defenders before finding the back of the net. Not long after, Henry Rupert added to the lead with a well-placed shot that doubled our lead. In goal, Riley Bundren held strong with a first-half shutout and then showcased his versatility by creating several scoring chances as a striker in the second half. Holden Thomas stepped in for his debut appearance in goal for the second half, completing the shutout and helping secure the win.
Overall, it was a great way to kick off the season, with everyone contributing and putting in a solid performance. The energy and effort set a strong foundation for what's ahead!

Varsity Boys Soccer Beats BGA 6-3
We played a solid game tonight, coming away with a 6-3 victory against BGA. There was plenty of back-and-forth action, but we controlled the flow of play and dominated the midfield, with our defense holding strong for most of the game. Smith Morris led the charge with two goals and two assists, while Henry Rupert added a goal from a well-taken penalty kick. Jackson Hall contributed a goal and an assist, and Riley Bundren had a standout game, scoring two goals, assisting on one, and even stopping a penalty kick as goalkeeper to keep them off the board. Riley Husbands also set up two of our goals with excellent assists. Avin Burditt was the steady hand on the defense tonight, clearing every ball that came near him. Elijah Westbrook was a physical force in the middle of the field, making his presence felt in key moments. Tennessee Toth and Rex Waddey were outstanding playing lock down defense, and helping generate attacks from the back line. Holden Thomas looked great, pulling double duty in midfield and reprising his role as goalkeeper.

Overall, the team worked well together and dominated the run of play for much of the match. However, in the final 10 minutes, we took our foot off the gas a bit and weren’t as aggressive to the ball, which led to conceding three late goals. There’s plenty to celebrate from this game, and we’ve got a few areas to focus on moving forward. Great job to everyone!
