Varsity Girls Soccer Defeats SCA 6-1

Smith scored 16 minutes later on a breakaway to bring the score to 2-0. Hilary Fremont closed the half with another goal to take the Hawks into the half up 3-0. Two minutes into the second half Louisa Smith earned her hattrick with her third goal off a beautiful pass from Hannah Sides. St. Cecilia fought back and scored their lone goal off a direct kick to bring the score to 4-1. The Hawks however continued to dominate the game. Caroline Sheets scored her first goal of the season with a left-footed shot over the St. Ceciclia's keeper's head. Hilary Fremont would close the game with a rocket shot off of a direct kick from 40 yards out. Margie Clark and JG Embry split time in net for the Hawks. Harding is back in action Thursday, November 9th against USN for their final game of the regular season. Go Hawks!

Harding Wrestlers Compete Against GCA and NCS
The Harding wrestlers had two matches this week, traveling out to Grace Christian Academy in Leiper's Fork on Tuesday, Nov. 7 and hosting Nashville Christian on Thursday, Nov. 9.

The Grace Christian lineup was full of experienced wrestlers that were ready for the Hawk invasion. Only two Harding wrestlers won contested matches on Tuesday, Ben Lucas '25 and Luke Anderson '24. James Held '26 received a forfeit.

On Thursday, the Hawks were challenged by Coach Lucas to come out with more fight and they did just that. Winning matches for Harding were Blake Sweeter '26, Luke Anderson '24, Ben Lucas '25, Finn Castle '25, and James Held '26. Harding was down 28-24 heading into the final match of the dual meet and James Held's pin secured the victory, 30-28!

Harding continues its busy stretch of matches this week taking on MBA on Friday, November 10. There are 3 more matches on tap for next week against FRA, BGA and Ensworth. The season concludes on Saturday, November 18 with the HVAC tournament at Pope Prep in Hendersonville. Go Hawks!!

Varsity Boys Soccer Defeats BGA 5-1
It was a decisive win with plenty of blood, sweat, and tears. 99% of the blood was contributed by Holden Thomas and we salute you sir. Our defense was impenetrable when it mattered, thanks to the combined efforts of Jameson Meriwether, Elijah Westbrook, Mateo Lyn-Cook, and Avin Burditt. Goalkeeping by Riley Bundren and Ricky Reynolds was absolutely on point the entire game. Meanwhile, our offense was unstoppable, with goals scored by Robert Thompson, Smith Morris (twice), Walt Sanders, and Holden Thomas. Assists were provided by Robert Topping, Smith Morris, and Walt Sanders. This was a textbook win, concluding our divisional play and setting us up for success in the playoffs.

Varsity Boys Soccer Ties FRA
Harding Soccer achieved an undefeated regular season, marking a significant milestone. Despite a draw against FRA, we showcased some solid team play and were able to create numerous scoring opportunities but simply could not convert. Our defense demonstrated exceptional resilience by stonewalling every attack. Ricky Reynolds made several remarkable saves to preserve our unbeaten record. Overall solid finish to great season. Time for our playoff journey to begin!

JV Boys Soccer vs. BGA
JV Boys soccer played BGA and scored a quick goal by James Kyle thanks to a great cross from Nathan Wong.  We kept the ball on BGA's side for most of the first half.  Defense backs like Coleman Woodard, who blocked an indirect kick, and Sam Tomachek and Brandon Gedge kept the ball on BGA's side.  BGA pushed onto our side for some of the second half, but Bert Hardison and Fletcher Brown were able to get the ball upfield.   Our last game is against FRA on Wednesday, November 8.

JV Boys Soccer Ties FRA in Hard Fought Match
For the last game of the season, the JV boys played very well against FRA under the lights.  An early goal by Fletcher Brown, scored off a nice cross from James Kyle, made it 1-0 in the first few minutes of the game.  Jacob Mann and Ricky Reynolds were able to serve the ball well to the forwards and midfielders, Charlie Paddon, Oscar McKenzie, Reid Dale, and Levi Orley; those boys did a fantastic job frustrating the FRA defense.  Sam Tomichek and Alex Solomon were often first to the ball and demonstrated great touches on the ball.  Braddock Wood did a fantastic job in goal as well!  Great job, boys!
