Varsity Baseball Loses To JT Moore 3-1
After only a few practices together and less than a week into the season, the boys' varsity baseball team had their first game of the season against JT Moore. Benton Wright started the game on the mound and pitched three strong innings, striking out five batters and only allowing one run in a no decision. Sam Bowers' aggressive base running evened up the score in the top of the fourth inning after he led off with a double to right field; he later scored on a wild pitch. In the end, the Hawks didn’t generate enough offense and lost a close game by a score of 3-1. The Hawks’ next game will be at home against Ensworth on March 24th at 4:00PM.
