In the iLab students become designers, engineers, scientist. They are given the space and tools to help make their ideas come to life. Seventh grade English students were challenged to build a battery-powered working well as a hands-on project in Harding's iLab based on their summer reading of The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind.
Throughout the process, students kept a journal of their experience by documenting successes, failures, and group-work struggles, while reflecting on the entire project and how it related to the challenges presented in the novel.
