Harding Girls Lacrosse Varsity ties Franklin Arrow

The Girls Varsity Lacrosse team finished in a tie with Franklin Arrows. The Team was on fire. The Ladies took the field with an excitement that Coach Embry and I have been seeing all year. Mary Haley started it off by winning the Draw numerous times. Harding controlled the Midfield with outstanding play by Clare Slagle, Cate First and Mary Haley. The attack(Rosemary Frederiksen, Kendall Burch and Tessa Hillenmeyer) was lead by Grace Moore with 4 goals and numerous assists. Olivia Craig had another strong game in Goal. The defense (MH Wall, Ella Craig, Breanna MacDougal and Caroline McGuire) had a awesome game holding Franklin to only 2 goals in first half. During the second half, Harding had several unforced turnovers that slowed our attack opportunities. The defense suffered a couple a bad breaks late in the game that allowed Franklin to close the Gap to just one goal. Then with on second to go in game Franklin scored the tying goal. Coach Embry and Coach Waddell are so proud of the determination and desire the Ladies have shown this season. The Ladies should be proud of their effort. Coach Waddell told the Ladies after the game that the score shows a tie but Harding Won That Game! Go Generals!!!!!
