Ken Folger Named "Most Influential Teacher"

Katherine Miller
Middle school science teacher Mr. Ken Folger was honored at the Most Influential Teachers reception on September 13 at Montgomery Bell Academy. Zachary Nelson '15 chose Mr. Folger as his “Most Influential Teacher”. The new incoming students to MBA were asked to write a letter to their most influential teacher who taught them prior to beginning their education at MBA. Those chosen teachers were then invited to the honor reception held at MBA. Zachary's letter reads as follows: "Mr. Folger influenced me because he pushed me farther in science than any other teacher has. He challenged me by making me think hard about problems he gave me. Also, his expectations for me were high. When I understood the topic he would make me teach the other students the topic. He gave me important skills like how to work in a group and communicate which I see the value in now. I wouldn't be the person I am now without him."

Other Harding teachers nominated were Camille Gift, Jake Madden and Jennifer Weinblatt.
