Lucy Sohr '13 - Thespian and Rising Playwright
Out of the 79 entries received for the 2015 Thespian Playworks program, her play, “The Deadline,” made it through the first round and has been named a semifinalist. This means that her script (along with eight others) will now go to a second group of readers, including two professional playwrights in Los Angeles and a director in Chicago, who will select four finalists to be invited to Lincoln, Nebraska, June 22-28 for the International Thespian Festival.
On Saturday, February 28 she won the Shakespeare contest at Harpeth Hall, competing against twelve others, and is on to the regionals March 7. She is tasked with reading, analyzing, performing and reciting Shakespearean monologues and sonnets. Go Lucy!
