Pursuit, Power Hour, and After-School Enrichment Camps Information

PURSUIT AND POWER HOUR

Please review the information below and then complete the Pursuit form in Magnus to acknowledge your understanding of our policies.

PURSUIT is our extended day program for students in PreK through 5th grade, offering structured care and engaging activities from 3:00 to 5:55 PM.

POWER HOUR is for our PreK students, whose school day ends at 2:00 PM, we offer Power Hour from 2:00 to 3:00 PM to bridge the gap before Pursuit begins.

RATES

PreK Power Hour (2:00–3:00 PM): Free of charge
Pursuit (3:00–5:55 PM): $10.00 per hour
Late Pickup (after 5:55 PM): $2.00 per minute

RESERVATIONS

It is essential to keep both the Pursuit team and your child’s teacher informed of after-school plans. Families will complete a weekly dismissal form, shared between the Pursuit team and Harding faculty. This form is sent out each week in the Compass Connection email.

If your child’s dismissal plans change, please email both your homeroom teacher and the Pursuit team at: pursuitstaff@hardingacademy.us.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Pursuit is closed on all-school holidays and any day Harding Academy is closed.
Parent/Teacher Conference Days: Noon dismissal, Pursuit available from 12:00 to 4:00 PM
April 30: No Pursuit offered
Field Day: Noon dismissal, no Pursuit offered

AUGUST PURSUIT DETAILS

PreK:

Power Hour and Pursuit will begin for PreK students on August 20, 2025, once regular 2:00 PM dismissal begins. Please note that Power Hour and Pursuit will not be available August 13–19, 2025.

Kindergarten:

Pursuit will begin for Kindergarten students on August 18, 2025, with the regular 3:00 PM dismissal. Please note that Pursuit will not be available August 13 - 15, 2025.

1st–5th Grade:

Pursuit begins on the first full day of school, August 13, 2025, with the regular 3:00 PM dismissal.

SNACKS

Each day, students receive an after-school snack upon arrival, chosen from a variety of individually packaged options. A second snack is provided for students remaining at 5:00 PM.

While we do not serve snacks containing peanuts, some products may be manufactured in facilities that process nuts. We cannot guarantee a nut-free environment. Gluten-free snack options are available.

AFTER-SCHOOL ENRICHMENT CAMPS

Harding offers three trimesters of after-school enrichment programs for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade, with select offerings available for other grade levels.

Schedule: One day per week from 3:05 to 4:05 PM
Duration: Typically 8–10 weeks per trimester, depending on school holidays
No camps on: School holidays or early dismissal days

FEES
Camp prices range from $200-350 based on the supplies needed for the camp. Registrations and payment will go through Active.

REGISTRATION

Registration typically opens two weeks before the start of each trimester.
Offerings and registration details are shared in advance via the Compass Connection.
Some camps fill quickly—we maintain a waiting list for any that reach capacity.
Fall trimester registration may occur closer to the start of the school year due to teacher availability after summer break. We appreciate your understanding.
