Inclement Weather Monitoring

Dear Parents,

Please know that we are aware of the continuing thunderstorms and wind this afternoon. The safety of our students, faculty and staff, and families is of the utmost importance and we are carefully monitoring the weather forecast. We do not expect to dismiss early today, but will keep you informed if anything changes.

As we move into the weekend, with more winter weather expected, please review our inclement weather policy below.

If conditions are such that school is closed, delayed or dismissed early Harding will communicate with you via email, automated phone calls, and a text message through Ruvna, our emergency alert system. If conditions permit we will make every effort to communicate the evening prior but no later than 5:00 AM. Notifications will also be posted on the school website, as well as the Harding social media accounts.

To ensure you receive direction notifications via text and phone, please verify your emergency contact information in CompassNet is up-to-date. (NOTE: An area code must be included for each emergency contact number. The format should be 615-123-4567.)

In the event school stays open during a weather event, please be assured the teachers will be flexible with instruction so families can make their own decisions about attendance.

Your family’s safety is of utmost concern, so please take extra precautions as you travel to and from your destinations.

Sincerely,

Dr. Mike Walker
Head of School
