Girls' Varsity Basketball Highlights (February 6-10)
The Harding girls’ varsity basketball team had their final two regular season games of their season this past Monday and Tuesday. On Monday, the Hawks hosted St. Matthew for an afternoon matchup. St. Matthew got off to a strong start and never looked back, winning by a final score of 33-13.

The very next day, the Hawks welcomed Holy Rosary Academy in their last regular season game. Prior to the opening tip, there was a short ceremony for this year’s 8th graders. Greer Bodzy ‘23, Helen Rich ‘23, and Samantha Massad ‘23 were each recognized for their hard work and leadership during their time in Harding’s basketball program. In front of a packed house and loud environment, this game was a battle from start to finish! The Hawks went into halftime with a 13-8 lead, but Holy Rosary came storming back in the second half and took the lead 16-15 heading into the final quarter of play. Riley Schenk ‘24 led the team with six points and hit a huge go-ahead free throw late to give the Hawks the lead, and Caroline Sheets ‘25 iced the game by hitting both of her free throws to take a three point lead in the final seconds of the game. This was a complete team effort as eight different players scored for the Hawks during the game, winning by a score of 27-24.
The Hawks look to take that momentum into the first round of the HVAC tournament as they host USN Friday, February 10th at 4:30pm. Go Hawks!

Harding Swimming
The Harding Swim team continues to get stronger in the water. Last week, Harding competed in swim meet with Ensworth, USN, and CPA. Many swimmers got up race, and finished with a best time. Maya Florie dropped time in both her 100 free and 50 free. Adrienne Numbers swam the 100 back first the first time in a meet, and did so with power and grace.
