From the Desk of the Head of School- January 20, 2023

Dear Harding Academy Learning Community,

I am eager to see many of you this evening at Geodis Park for the Parents Party. I have been in conversations with many of our prospective parents and inevitably the question of community comes up. I often answer that we love to throw a great party and in this case we can all thank Louise Alexander and Amanda Hardin for leading the charge on this one. 

Of course there is more to the secret sauce of our community than the parties. The other piece I speak to with prospective families is that we are in this work of raising children together. We chose Harding Academy and the PreK-8 model because we believe it represents the best possible learning community for the ten most formative learning years of our children’s lives and the ten most formative parenting years of our lives. A foundational aspect of this is that we all put our children (and our students) first. There is no pretense about why we are here. It’s all about what’s best for our children. 

That is a special and unique characteristic of this place. When we see these ten years through and have done so shoulder to shoulder with families who we will call friends for life, it may be the parties where these friendships began, but it is our shared experiences focused on doing what is best for our children at Harding that cemented those bonds.
