From the Desk of the Head of School- September 3, 2021

Dear Harding Academy Learning Community,

Small things make all the difference sometimes. I am grateful for a school year that has brought back those small things in so many different ways. Some of those include:

  • The laughter and hushed chatter of lower school students heading down the hallway on their way to the library.
  • The sounds of 5th grade band just starting out and the earnestness of each note.
  • The enthusiastic pitches of middle school teachers describing their elective offerings.
  • The decked out 8th graders preparing for their composite portraits.
  • Children debating the plot of their film in filmmakers after school club, or the coding in robotics club
  • The ringing of the birthday bell in the Kindergarten building

As we navigate the opening of the school year, it is comforting to have these small things all around to offer a rhythm to our days. I hope you all enjoy a restful and relaxing Labor Day weekend.
