From the Desk of the Head of School- January 8, 2021

Dear Parents,

The unprecedented turmoil of this week crystallized the enormous responsibility we bear in living out our mission: to educate and inspire young people to become thoughtful, creative, lifelong learners and self-disciplined, responsible, caring citizens.

Yesterday, today, and each day hereafter we work to inspire our students’ intellectual development, embrace their balanced, personal growth, and develop well-prepared leaders and positive contributors to our 21st-century society. As John Dewey said in his work, “Self-Realization as the Moral Ideal”(1893):  "Democracy has to be born anew every generation, and education is its midwife." It is in this work that the joy and hope and optimism of our students propels us forward each day. 

We relish the opportunity to come to school each day and meet our mission.
