Varsity Volleyball Honors 8th Graders

There were tears of sentiment on Wednesday, September 23, in the Roberts Gymnasium.  The eight 8th graders that were recognized began this journey in 4th grade 2011, the year Coach Green partnered with Harding Academy in the pursuit of volleyball excellence, launching the Future Generals 3rd to 5th Grade Developmental Volleyball Program.  Five years and hundreds of hours of practice and competition later, this Varsity team has mixed feelings about their final year of Harding volleyball together. This is a tight-knit group of friends, and moving forward from here will be, no doubt, challenging.   

Head Coach Carol Green and Assistant Coach Steve Rhein presented an action photograph to each while their 6th grade teammates Ella Craig and Olivia Craig showed their appreciation with beautiful red, white and blue bouquets (compliments of Heather Craig). 

Coach Green and Coach Steve would like to thank each player for her hard work and dedication over the years and the parents for the support they showed in countless ways.  Special thanks to Danielle Hanrahan for faithfully videoing every match for three years, which film has been invaluable for analytical and teaching purposes.  Thank you, Ms. Becky, for serving our team with your photography skills; all of the images you captured will keep our special memories alive for decades to come.
