State Debate Champ Silas Wuerth '11
Silas Wuerth '11, along with his USN teammate Colin, took first place at the Tennessee District Tournament for Policy Debate on March 7. They were the only undefeated team in the pool and finished a perfect 6-0 on ballots over the other teams. With the victory, the duo advances to the National Speech and Debate Association's national tournament to be held in Dallas on June 15-19, 2015.

Silas and his teammate also placed at the UC Berkeley California Invitational in February. They finished preliminary competition with a 4-2 record before dropping a split decision to the number one seed from Westwood, Texas.
