Kate Tarleton Meriwether '94 Receives Junior League 2014 Paragon Award

Kate is a native Nashvillian who joined the Junior League of Nashville as a Provisional in 2009. She has served the League since then with a focus on the Sustainer population. Kate has had the vision and drive to transform the Sustainer Program and re-engage Sustainers through events, focus groups, and her most recent accomplishment, the creation of a Sustainer Advisory Committee. She served as the Sustainer Services Co-Chair from 2012-2013 and apparently, could not get enough of the Sustainers when she volunteered to serve in the same capacity for another year. Kate says that she could not have “seeded” this transformation without Co-Chairs like Tana Kelly and Cornelia Leslie or her incredible committees over the past two years. Her committee members enjoyed their placement so much last year that a number of them returned to the Sustainer Services Committee again this year. Kate looks forward to seeing the Sustainer Program continue to grow in the years to come and develop into something that all Sustainers look forward to after their Active years of service to the Junior League.
 

In her professional life, Kate is a Nurse Practitioner at Associated Urologists of Nashville, with a primary focus on the female population, concentrating in female urology. Kate is also involved with the youth at St. George’s Episcopal Church and sits on the Alumni Board at Harding Academy. She is happily married to Jonathan Meriwether and they have two children: Gracie (5) and Jameson (2).
