Marshall Gray '09 Honored as Brentwood Home Page's Athlete of the Week

Marshall Gray is a senior on the Brentwood Academy tennis team. Playing at No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles for the Eagles, he is a dedicated athlete and student. Marshall’s record is 7-1 in doubles this season. He is looking forward to reaching the state tournament through the regionals in Chattanooga. “With this being my last high school tournament, I want to have fun and enjoy the team. The competition will be intense,” Marshall said. Said BA boys coach Brad Herrera: “Marshall is an exceptional young man. Serving as a great leader and role model to our underclassmen, he has been a real asset to the team this year, and we are fortunate to have him as part of the BA family.” Acting as a mentor to younger athletes, Marshall admires his teammate Clark Wilson. “Clark is a winner and works hard,” he said. Marshall will be attending Lipscomb University in the fall. He plans to major in engineering while playing intramural basketball and tennis. He is the son of Tom and Jennifer Gray.
