From the Desk of the Head of School- March 10, 2023

Dear Harding Academy Learning Community,

I’m hopeful your spring breaks have started on a relaxing note. It is a well earned vacation and one that will re-energize us for the final stretch. There are so many things to look forward to when we return, but I want to make sure the Student Art Exhibit, Thursday March 24 is on your radar. The Art Department has worked diligently to cultivate an opportunity for us to enjoy art pieces created by our kindergarten through eighth grade students throughout this school year. It will be an exciting opportunity to feature our young artists ahead of the big Harding Art Show. You can find details around this Show in the Compass Connection and Wednesday Reminder.

As we head off into Spring Break, I also wanted to take a moment to shine a light on a favorite Harding tradition: Jump and Hoop It Up! Today we were able to celebrate a record breaking Jump and Hoop It Up raising over $16,000 for Alive Hospice. Belle Yeagle ‘26 wrote a moving essay on why she believed we should support Alive Hospice and as she read her essay aloud in front of the entire school, we were shown what it means to be truly courageous and brave. This is just another example of how the Harding community comes together in joy, in sorrow, and throughout all that life sends our way.

I wish you all a restful and safe break and look forward to seeing you upon our return.
