Girls Developmental Basketball
The developmental girls team will begin practice on Monday, November 28.  Practice will alternate weekly with the boys developmental team between the Harding gym in the evening and the JCC after school (3 days per week). For practice, the girls will need shorts, basketball shoes, and a Harding T-shirt. Ideally, each girl should bring her own ball (with her name on it) to practices so we can maximize ball handling drills. Please also make sure they bring sweatpants and sweatshirts to stay warm after practice once the weather turns. There will be a series of intrasquad Blue vs. White games beginning in January. These games will be played as full middle school games with officials in the Roberts Gymnasium.

The Developmental Girls Team Parents' Meeting will be Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 5:15pm in the MS Art Room.

Please contact Coach Ken Folger with any questions (folgerk@hardingacademy.us).

Hawks Finish Fourth in HVAC Wrestling Tournament
The Harding Hawk wrestlers competed in the HVAC wrestling tournament on Saturday, Nov. 19 to end their 2022 season. It was a very successful tournament as 7 of 11 competing wrestlers finished in the top 4 of their respective weight classes leading to a 4th place team finish.

Ben Lucas '25, Quinn Taylor '23, and Jackson Lucas '23 paced the Hawks by placing 2nd in their weight classes. This is the second year in a row that Harding has had multiple HVAC finalists. A handful of competitors made the consolation finals as well. Brody Maddox '25, Grant Song '23, and Christian Harris '24 all wrestled back for 3rd place. Luke Fields '23 in his first year of wrestling took 4th place. Jackson Lucas and his opponent from Grace Christian were granted the "Best Match in the Finals" award given by the coaches and officials.

It was a great finish to a successful season for the Harding wrestlers who ended up 5-3 in dual meets and in the top 5 of the HVAC. Most importantly, all the wrestlers improved significantly over the course of a very short 7-week season. Go Hawks!!
