Varsity Girls Soccer Advances to HVAC Semifinals
Harding girls' soccer advances to the HVAC semi-finals following Friday nights win against FRA. Louisa Smith opened the scoring midway through the first half with a beautiful left foot shot that soared over FRA's goalie. Harding went into half time up 1-0. FRA fought back and 10 minutes into the second half scored to tie the game. With 15 minutes remaining in the game Hilary Fremont proved to be too much for FRA's defense as she dribbled around multiple defenders and took a shot from 20 yards out that found the top left corner of FRA's goal. Lauren Sullivan, Alexa McKay, Stella Frisbee, and Annie Thurman held down the midfield, while Margie Clark, Claire McDaniel, Margaret Greathouse, and Margaux Brown locked down the defensive end of the field to prevent FRA from scoring again in the final minutes. The Hawks would go on to win the game 2-1. Harding is back in action Monday night against BGA in the semi-finals at Harpeth Hall. Go Hawks! 

Harding Wrestling Defeats Grace Christian Academy
The Harding wrestling team had one dual meet this past week and was able to come out on top against Grace Christian Academy, 42-30. Winning varsity matches in the dual were Ben Lucas '25, Isaac El Gammal, Grant Song '23, Mac McFarland, and Quinn Taylor '23. Luke Anderson '24 also had a pin in an exhibition match for the Hawks. 

The wrestlers head into the final week of the season next week. They have their home finale against BGA on Monday, November 14 at 4:30pm. They conclude the regular season with a dual meet at Ensworth on Thursday, November 17. The varsity wrestlers will then compete in the season-ending HVAC Tournament on Saturday, November 19 in the Brentwood Academy Middle School gym. Go Hawks!

Varsity Girls Soccer vs. Harpeth Hall

Harding girls' soccer lost its first match of the season to Harpeth Hall. After back and forth action, Harpeth Hall found the back of the net first, midway through the first half. Harding went into half time down 0-1. Louisa Smith and Hilary Fremont both recorded shots on goal. Harpeth Hall scored twice in the second half to seal the victory 3-0.

Varsity Girls Soccer Defeats Pope Prep
Harding girls' soccer earned its fourth win of the season last night defeating Pope Prep 7-1. Louisa Smith opened the scoring with 2 back to back goals within 3 minutes of each other. 10 minutes later Hilary Fremont joined in on the scoring action and scored 2 more Harding goals within 4 minutes of each other. Harding closed out the half with Louisa Smith finding the back of the net to land her first hat trick of the season. Harding went into half time up 5-0. In the second half Annie Thurman scored her first goal of the season with a rocket of a shot to the top left corner of the net after beating her defender. Pope Prep found the back of the net for the first time with 12 minutes remaining in the game. With 5 minutes remaining to play Annie Thurman finished another shot to find her second goal of the game. Margie Clark held down the defensive end in goal with help from Margaret Greathouse, Caroline Sheets, Margaux Brown and Isa Sosa. Harding is back in action today with the first round of the HVAC tournament. Go Hawks!
