Varsity Girls Lacrosse Defeats Hendersonville Lacrosse Club
Varsity girls lacrosse has been consistent thus far.  On Wednesday night the Hawks travelled to Hendersonville to try to keep their winning streak in tact winning 13-7.  The game started off slow for the Hawks as they found themselves down early but then within five minutes we came roaring back scoring four unanswered goals.  Seven different girls rattled off goals!  Gracie Lucas (3), Maggie Soper (2), Evie Frist (2), Carter Floyd (2), Caroline Viars (2) Kate Leschman (1), and Gracie Meriweather (1).  It was a very physical game but the defense was up to the task.  Led by our re-defending from our attack and midfield gave our defenders (Lexie LampkaNeko MannesSusan McCarleyVirginia Powell) energy to deny our opponents easy chances to goal.  That being said our goalie (Mia Sjursen) was a wall with 10 saves!  A great team effort in a hard fought win.
