From the Desk of the Head of School- January 22, 2021

Dear Parents,

This year I have had the pleasure of meeting a number of our prospective parents through a new program called Dialogue with Dave (cheesy or charming title, depending on the audience, I know). I am able to virtually meet with new families and candidly discuss life at Harding Academy.  Today a parent asked me if there was something I wanted to make sure they left with having learned about Harding Academy.

It didn’t take long for an array of images to swirl through my mind.  As many of you know, one of my favorite places on campus is the playground at recess time. At any point during the course of a school day, I can walk out onto the playground and (pre-Covid) see multiple homerooms from different grades all playing together. To me, this is the epitome of the Harding community.  Our students never stop learning together, growing together, and playing together; no matter what age they are.

I told this person that as a parent of Harding students myself and as the Head of School, these are the sights and sounds that resonate with us all and remind us of the true soul of Harding Academy.

Have a great weekend. Stay safe and healthy.
