Jenny Boucek '88 was recently hired in July 2018 by The Dallas Mavericks as their first female assistant coach. She is the first woman to hold any coaching position with The Mavericks franchise within its 38-year history. After retiring from playing WNBA basketball in 1998, Jenny went on to coach several WNBA teams for close to two decades. She is just the third woman to ever hold an assistant coaching position in the NBA. In addition to this feat, Jenny gave birth to newborn daughter Rylie Hope Boucek just two weeks after her Mavericks announcement.
