Announcements Middle School Basketball Tryout Dates Girls - Friday, Nov. 22 5:00-6:30pm and Saturday, Nov. 23 9:00-10:30am Boys - Friday, Nov. 1 3:30-5:00pm and Tuesday, Nov. 26 12:00-1:30pm *It's highly encouraged to attend both tryout dates, but it is not required.
Smith Morris Wins HVAC Division A Race The varsity boys cross-country team competed in the HVAC Div. A finals on Wednesday, September 25 at the USN river campus. We had five boys set a new personal record in the race. Smith Morris became an HVAC champion by destroying the competition. He finished his 2 mile in 12:20 while securing the championship by 27 seconds. The following boys brought their best on this day and set a PR in the process: Jet Taylor, who cracked the top 10 with a 9th place finish overall in a time of 13:24, Jackson Hall 14:37, Archer Sachan 16:07, Harry Thornton 16:54, and EverettGowdy 17:00. We are so proud of these boys for the hard work they put in throughout the season. Way to go Hawks!
Varsity Girls Cross-Country Finishes Second in HVAC Div. A Finals The girls varsity cross-country team competed at the USN river campus on Wednesday, September 25 in the HVAC Division A finals. Every girl on the team set a new personal record in the race. With all those improvements in times, the team was able to secure a second place finish. Eliza Gray Neal took home a 5th place finish overall with a time of 13:57. Grace Thigpen completed her two mile run in 14:15 and was able to crack the top 10 with a 10th place finish. The following girls set a PR in the race as well: Charlotte Thigpen 15:33, Reese Borland 15:35, RileyReynolds 15:39, Blythe Darden 16:37, Nina Armstrong 16:54, Blythe Potter 17:09, Camilla Yarbrough 22:11, and Lina Mohamed 29:23. It was a great way to the end of the year and the future looks bright for this girls team! Great job Hawks!
Varsity Football Wins At Ezell-Harding The Harding Hawks varsity football team went on the road for the 4th time this season and came away with a 32-0 victory over the Ezell-Harding Eagles. Harding was dominant from the start and controlled the game throughout. Riley Bundren '25 scored multiple touchdowns from his running back position and quarterback Elijah Westbrook '25 connected with wide receiver Avin Burditt '25 for another score. The Hawks defense was stifling, not allowing a first down until the 4th quarter of the game. The linebacking corps of Finn Castle '25, Skyler Moore '25, and Ben Lucas '25 led the defense and were a consistent presence in the Ezell-Harding offensive backfield.
