Varsity Girls Lacrosse Versus St. Cecilia Harding girls' lax soared past St. Cecilia in their third win of the season. Ten different players recorded a goal with 5 of those players scoring their first goal of the season. Lauren Sullivan led the scoring with 3 early goals to establish a lead. Alexa McKay was the only other player to record multiple goals scoring 2. Ella Jones, Margaux Brown,and Louisa Smith each scored a goal for the Hawks. There were 5 CPA additions who each scored a goal as well. Charlie George held down the defensive end with 7 saves, one of which she ran 50 yards up the field to make a clear that resulted in a goal. The Hawks are back in action for the first round of the HVAC tournament on Monday 4/24.
Varsity Boys Lacrosse Loses To Pope Prep We played a very talented team but with Coach Morgan's clever zone defense we were able to hold them to probably the closest 1st half score they have had this season (3-6), way to go defense. Cooper Wells had another outstanding game in goal with 21 yes 21 saves. Sammy Boylan had another great day at the FaceoffX winning over 50%. We were led in scoring by Quinn Taylor with 5 goals, Jackson Lucas with 2 and CrawfordHuber with 1. Quinn and Jackson each had 10 ground balls, followed by Trey Hobbs (SMS) with 6, Sammy Boylan 4, Ben Lucas 2, Mattia Zanetti 2 and Crawford Huber 2.
Varsity Boys Lacrosse Defeats MBA It was a big bounce back game against MBA in a hard fought game, winning 6-4. Coach Morgan's zone defense came threw again holding MBA to just one goal in the first half giving the Hawks a 4-1 lead. We knew the Big Red would not lay down but we able to keep them at bay for a great 6-1 victory. With the defense holding MBA to just 12 shots on goal Cooper Wells made 8 saves holding them to just 4 goals. We were led in scoring by our Harding Academy Spotlight Athletes - Quinn, Jackson & Sammy with 2, 2, 1 goals respectively with Trey Hobbs (SMS) rounding out the scoring with 1 goal. Sammy Boylan won an incredible 69% from the Faceoff X. We were led in Ground Balls by Quinn Taylor 11, Jackson Lucas 8, Sammy Boylan 5 and TreyHobbs (SMS) 4.
