Harding Academy & Salvation Army Angel Tree

Partnering to Make Holiday Wishes Come True.

We are thrilled to announce that Harding will be partnering with the Salvation Army Angel Tree this holiday season and sharing gifts of want and need with children in our community. This November and December all Harding students and their families have the opportunity to sponsor a Salvation Army Angel’s holiday wishes. Harding Academy has been assigned 150 Salvation Army Angels, ages newborn - 12 years old, with individual lists of needs and wants this holiday season. Should you wish to adopt an angel, the expectation is that the total amount spent for needs and wants is $150. Anything in all CAPS is a special request from the family. We will start collecting items during morning drop-off on Wednesday, November 30th through Monday, December 5th.

Here are the details:

Please click HERE to view the wishlists of each of the Salvation Army Angels selected for Harding Academy. To sign up to provide for one of our Angels, enter your name and email in the GoogleSheet next to the Angel you wish to provide for. This will help us make sure every Salvation Army Angel has a Harding family. We ask that each Harding family only choose one child to start. Please check the list again Thursday once everyone has had a chance to select a friend if your family would like to help more than one Salvation Army Angel.

Collection of items will take place on campus during morning drop-off starting Wednesday, November 30th through Monday, December 5th.

Gifts must be returned in the following format:
  • Unwrapped
  • Please place all items in a black or non-transparent trash bag and label each bag with your family’s last name AND family number listed on the GoogleSheet so that the correct gifts go to the correct Salvation Army Angel.
  • Please be sure bicycles are assembled upon drop off to Harding.
  • Remember the total amount to spend for needs and wants is $150.
  • Please have all items to Harding by Monday, December 5th.

Thank you for your generosity and helping us provide needs and wants to children in our community. Please reach out to Ginger Wimberley (gingerwimberley@gmail.com), Kim Drake (kimmydrake@comcast.net), or Allison Jones (allisonjones30@gmail.com) with any questions.
