From the Desk of the Head of School- March 11, 2022
Dear Harding Academy Learning Community,
I am excited for everyone to have this break to relax and rejuvenate. When we return we have so much to look forward to on campus. Warmer weather, outdoor spring sports, 8th Grade brick reveal, 5th Grade walk to the middle school, overnight trips in the middle school, Art Show, Spring concerts, Field Day, awards ceremonies, Rose Ceremony and graduation. It is the sprint to the end of the 2021-22 school year.
It is hard to believe all of that will fit into the next two months, but it does and is, in many ways, the best part of the year. Through these events and - perhaps more so- the daily ritual of class, we see how far our students have come since we convened in August. In a lot of ways this spring is the payoff, the growth, we all hope for in the moment we let our children out of the car on that first day.
I know our teachers see it, feel it. I’m certain our 8th grade families do as well, as they contemplate the end of their time with us at Harding Academy and the new journeys that lie ahead. As you rest and relax this week, I hope you’ll take a moment to see that growth as well. We are so proud of each and every one of our students and we look forward to celebrating with them when we return.
